IHC fixes plea seeking details of foreign gifts for hearing

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Sunday fixed a petition for hearing seeking details of gifts received from foreign heads of state and governments and other dignitaries by prime ministers and presidents.

The IHC Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the plea of citizen Abuzar Salman on Monday, who named the Secretary Cabinet Division and the Information Commission as parties in his petition.

The plea demanded that the details of the foreign gifts received by the prime ministers and presidents from foreign dignitaries be provided along with their market value.

The Information Commission has already been ordered to provide the details of Tosha Khana, and the decision of the Information Commission dated June 29, 2022, should be implemented, it further stated.
