IHC again defers indictment of Rana Shamim, others

Attorney General said that charges should be framed against Rana Shamim.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday deferred indictment in the contempt of court case against former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Rana Shamim and other accused.
According to details, Attorney General and Rana Shamim appeared before the court in the case.
During the proceeding, the Attorney General said that charges should be framed against Rana Shamim be provided a fair trial.
Meanwhile, Judicial assistant Faisal Siddiqui said that as far as journalists were concerned, he would oppose the charge frame.
The Chief Justice, while adjourning the hearing of the case till January 20, said that court is granting more time to all parties to think.
