Opposition raises question on Shehbaz Sharif's seriousness

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ahead of the National Assembly session in which ruling Minister for Finance Senator Shaukat Tarin will unveil Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2021, small opposition parties raised question on Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif in a meeting of the opposition parties.

According to sources, opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif will not attend the important session of the National Assembly on mini-budget due to personal engagements while he has directed all members of the opposition to attend the session.

The meeting of the joint opposition was held in Islamabad in which the smaller parties criticized the opposition leader for not looking serious and said that the people were suffering due to inflation but the opposition doesn’t seem to be active.

Earlier today, President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif said that economic and political stability feeds directly into national security.

Opposition Leader of National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, in a tweet, said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s tenure in government has been the worst by way of mismanaging economy and delivering poor governance.

Shehbaz added that never before have the citizens been this hopeless about their future and warned that all this has implications for national security.
