Pakistan reports 359 coronavirus cases, 2 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 2 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,292,406. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,894 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 359 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,061 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,658 in Sindh 5,916 in KP, 964 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 479,890 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,380 in Punjab 181,088 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,354 in Islamabad, 34,651 in Azad Kashmir 33,614 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 23,000,798 coronavirus tests and 46,564 in the last 24 hours. 1,254,104 patients have recovered in the country whereas 666 patients are in critical condition.


Positivity Ratio


The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.77 percent.


Vaccine Statistics


So far, 89,792,114 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 709,754 in last 24 hours. 62,547,553 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 787,613 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 144,064,235 with 1,352,030 in the last 24 hours.
