12 suspected cases of Omicron variant reported in Kalat

CM Balochistan has urged the people of the province to strictly follow Covid SOPs.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – At least 12 suspected cases of Omicron variant of COVID-19 have been reported in Kalat district of Balochistan, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has expressed concern over reports of presence of Omekron virus in 12 persons in Kalat and sought a report from the Health Department.

CM Bizenjo has directed the Health Department to immediately quarantine the suspected patients. The Chief Minister has also sought a progress report on COVID-19 vaccination and testing.

The Chief Minister has also directed the concerned authorities to increase the vaccination and testing drive in the province. He has urged the people of the province to strictly follow Covid SOPs.
