Pakistan reports 270 coronavirus cases, 4 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 4 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,291,737. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,882 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 270 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,059 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,654 in Sindh 5,911 in KP, 964 in Islamabad, 745 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 479,481 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,267 in Punjab 181,023 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,308 in Islamabad, 34,642 in Azad Kashmir 33,587 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 22,907,243 coronavirus tests and 42,506 in the last 24 hours. 1,253,298 patients have recovered in the country whereas 743 patients are in critical condition.


Positivity Ratio


The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.63 percent.


Vaccine Statistics


So far, 88,492,869 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 338,653 in last 24 hours. 61,084,339 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 404,651 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 141,509,339 with 713,582 in the last 24 hours.
