Pakistan reports 357 coronavirus cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.74 percent.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 7 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,290,848. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,870 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 357 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,057 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,649 in Sindh 5,907 in KP, 963 in Islamabad, 745 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 478,942 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,119 in Punjab 180,938 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,240 in Islamabad, 34,633 in Azad Kashmir 33,548 in Balochistan and 10,428 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 22,778,855 coronavirus tests and 47,903 in the last 24 hours. 1,252,396 patients have recovered in the country whereas 666 patients are in critical condition.


Positivity Ratio


The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.74 percent.


Vaccine Statistics


So far, 86,968,178 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 634,205 in last 24 hours. 59,361,468 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 676,041 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 138,365,328 with 1,245,058 in the last 24 hours.
