Pakistan urges Int'l community to realize new opportunities arising from Afghanistan
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan has highlighted the importance of evolving a regional approach to address common challenges and to realize the new opportunities arising from a stable Afghanistan.
Chairing a virtual meeting of Special Representatives of neighbours of Afghanistan in Islamabad on Sunday, Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq said a prosperous and peaceful Afghanistan would provide impetus to economic integration, strong people-to-people linkages, enhanced trade and regional connectivity.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson, Special Representative for Afghanistan, from China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the latest situation in Afghanistan.
The Special Representatives/Envoys of neighbours of Afghanistan agreed to remain in close contact.
