Nation pays rich tribute to Syed Ali Gillani's life-long struggle for justice, freedom: FO
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmed has expressed the belief that the legacy of iconic Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani will continue to inspire all those carrying his mission forward to bring an end to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
Speaking at his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, he said nation pays rich tribute to Syed Ali Gillani s life-long struggle for justice and freedom.
The Spokesperson said Pakistan will continue to extend all possible support to the Kashmiri people till the realization of their legitimate right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Answering a question regarding the evolving situation in Afghanistan, he said peace in Afghanistan is also critical to realize our vision of regional connectivity, economic integration and development. He said peace and stability in Afghanistan is vital as any chaos will lead to a human crisis in the country.
