Abdul Qadir Baloch said that the PPP leaders consoled them

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and Lt Gen (rtd) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Sunday formally joined the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP).

After expressing full confidence in the leadership, they officially announced to join the PPP at a public gathering which was also attended by party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.

Speaking to the public gathering, Abdul Qadir Baloch said that the PPP leaders consoled them. “This rally is only trailer for the PPP leadership because the arrangement of public gathering was limited due to the pandemic coronavirus,” he said.

“Our politics revolved around the personalities. So we have said goodbye to the PML-N. PML-N is no longer a prominent figure in Balochistan and the PPP made a strong position in Balochistan today with its ability,” he mentioned.

On the occasion, former Balochistan chief minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has also announced officially to join the PPP, saying that Nawaz Sharif promised to honor us but failed to do this.

“Nawaz Sharif insulted us and we do not expect loyalty from him. We tried to make him strong by giving him a chance again and again but loyalty is not in his nature,” he added.

It is noteworthy here that Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and Gen Abdul Qadir Baloch had quit the PML-N along with their supporters after they were not invited to attend a public meeting organised by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on Dec 25 last year.

Sardar Zehri and Gen Baloch also strongly reacted to PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s speech against the army chief and head of the Inter-Services Intelligence during a PDM rally in Gujranwala.
