ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has asked the Afghan media for positively project Pakistan’s contributions to peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Addressing Pakistan-Afghanistan Youth Forum in Islamabad today (Thursday), he said war is not a solution and we will have to give peace a change.

The Minister of State said Pakistan has always kept its doors and hearts open for the Afghan people. He said we are ready to play our role in the capacity building of Afghan media including through training programs.

Farrukh Habib said both Pakistan and Afghanistan enjoy historic relations. He said peace in Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan and it will open up economic opportunties in the region.

Addressing Pakistan-Afghanistan Youth Forum, Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi said Afghanistan is an independent country having the capacity to take its decisions.

He said Pakistan and Afghanistan are one body, one soul and together they can rise and shine.

He said Pakistan has also assisted Afghan cricket team in their training and coaching.

He stressed for joint ventures in different areas including culture and sports to strengthen the bilateral relations.
