Pakistan reports 2,607 coronavirus cases, 21 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 15,393,974 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 21 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 989,275. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 22,781 on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,607 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,871 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,702 in Sindh, 4,385 in KP, 787 in Islamabad, 601 in Azad Kashmir, 319 in Balochistan, and 116 in GB.

Furthermore 350,259 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 355,462 in Punjab, 140,560 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 84,563 in Islamabad, 29,080 in Balochistan, 21,989 in Azad Kashmir and 7,362 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 15,393,974 coronavirus tests and 48,816 in the last 24 hours. 919,163 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,508 patients are in critical condition.
