PM Imran to chair federal cabinet meeting today

The Cabinet will approve the appointment of the Chairman PIA.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal cabinet will meet today (Tuesday) in Islamabad to discuss country’s economic and political situation, Dunya News reported.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the federal cabinet meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s office. The cabinet will discuss a 17-point agenda during the meeting.

The federal cabinet will approve the issuance of domestic and international sukuk bonds in exchange for government property. A report on loans forgiven by banks will be submitted to the federal cabinet.

The Cabinet will approve the appointment of the Chairman PIA. The issue of post shipment inspection of cranes called for wind power project is also on the cabinet agenda.

The federal cabinet will also approve the issuance of prohibited bore weapons licenses and decide on the appointment of DRAP s chief executive. In addition, approval will be given for the construction of multi-storey buildings in Zone Four of Islamabad.

The use of land at Carlton Hotel Karachi by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority is part of the Cabinet agenda while the Federal Cabinet will approve the Public Property Bill 2021 against encroachments.

The cabinet will approve the construction of the Supreme Court Staff Housing Colony in Curry Road Islamabad.

The issue of dual citizenship with Luxembourg is also on the federal cabinet agenda. The issue of increasing the number of members of the Islamabad Master Plan Review Commission will also be considered.

The federal cabinet will approve the appointment of the executive director of the National Vocational Training Commission.

It will be decided to include the Chief Executive of Sukkur Power Company and an independent member in the Board of Directors of Diamer Bhasha Dam.

The cabinet will ratify the decisions of the ECC and the Cabinet Committee on Legislation.
