Primary, middle schools in KP closed due to hot weather

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to keep schools close up to middle classes due to hot weather.

According to a notification from the Elementary and Secondary Education department, all schools in the summer zone and some of the winter zone will remain closed until further orders.

However, the schools up to higher secondary level in the winter zone of the province will remain open.

The decision is equally applicable to both public and private sector schools.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Shahram Khan Tarakai, in a statement in Peshawar today, said the students will only be taught the subjects for which examination will be given.
