Pakistan reports 1,239 coronavirus cases, 56 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 13,818,036 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 56 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 941,170. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,689 on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,239 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,501 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,236 in Sindh, 4,216 in KP, 771 in Islamabad, 563 in Azad Kashmir, 294 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 343,926 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 327,604 in Sindh, 135,877in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,099 in Islamabad, 26,201 in Balochistan, 19,756 in Azad Kashmir and 5,707 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,818,036 coronavirus tests and 36,368 in the last 24 hours. 877,191 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,661 patients are in critical condition.
