Pakistan reports 1,118 coronavirus cases, 77 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 13,663,666 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 77 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 936,131. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,453 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,118 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,397 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,164 in Sindh, 4,170 in KP, 766 in Islamabad, 558 in Azad Kashmir, 291 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 343,031 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 325,110 in Sindh, 134,928 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,871 in Islamabad, 25,961 in Balochistan, 19,566 in Azad Kashmir and 5,664 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,663,666 coronavirus tests and 43,900 in the last 24 hours. 869,691 patients have recovered in the country whereas 3,024 patients are in critical condition.
