Shaukat Tarin to chair ECC meeting today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting will be held in Islamabad today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.

Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin will preside over the meeting. According to sources, an eight-point agenda will be discussed during the meeting.

According to sources, the meeting will approve the opening of Kohat Oil Depot while supplementary grants for the heirs of martyred Rangers and FC personnel are likely to be approved.

A summary of extension of Government of Pakistan guarantee in favour of National Bank of Pakistan for rescheduling of loan of Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP) is also part of agenda to today’s meeting.

Sources said that supplementary grant for Azad Kashmir government may be approved while supplementary grants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hospitals will be approved in the meeting.

The approval of supplementary grant for civil armed forces under western zone management is also part of agenda.

Sources said that Rs190 million supplementary grant for internal security duty Allowance and supplementary grant for expenditure of Islamabad Police may be approved during the meeting.
