NCOC decides to resume public transport from May 16

Markets and shops to remain open till 8pm: NCOC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Saturday decided to resume public transport across the country from May 16 (tomorrow) instead of May 17.

As per details, an important meeting of NCOC was held under the chair of Federal Minister for Planning and Development, in which it was decided to resume inter-provincial, inter-district as well as intra-city transport from tomorrow; however trains will be allowed to operate 70 percent of the capacity.

The forum also allowed markets and shops to remain open till 8pm while all public and private offices are to function with 50 percent of the staff.

NCOC also reviewed coronavirus situation in the country and expressed satisfaction over implementation of SOPs during Eid holidays.

The forum also urged people to follow precautionary measures and register for coronavirus vaccination on priority basis by sending a message on 1166.
