Pakistan will be removed from FATF's gray list: FM Qureshi

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan will be removed from FATF s gray list.

Foreign Minister said, to maintain the status of GSP Plus lobbying has been started. He said that this time there will be a good news regarding FATF.

Shah Mahmood visited the Faisalabad Industrial Estate and Management Company (FIEDMC), M3 Industrial City and Allama Iqbal Industrial City. He appreciated the efforts of Chairman FIEDMC Kashif Ashfaq and assured full cooperation.

The minister said that embassies abroad would extend full support to FIEDMC for investment in economic zones. In a country where FIEDMC needs access to investors, the Foreign Office will provide them full support. A separate economic wing has been set up in the Foreign Ministry to attract investment, he added.

FM Qureshi said that full attention should be paid on research to overcome the decline in cotton production.

He said that FIEDMC’s plan to set up an agro-based economic zone on 1,500 acres in Toba Tek Singh is the best step for agricultural development. “This will bring equal benefits to the farmers of Multan, Khanewal, Sargodha and Faisalabad”, said minister.
