PM Imran to visit Gilgit-Baltistan today

PM Imran will inaugurate Khunjerab-Rawalpindi Phase One Optical Fiber Cable Project.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for Gilgit-Baltistan on a day-long visit today (Friday) where he will inaugurate a number of development projects, Dunya News reported.

The development package includes clean energy, transport, communication, health, infrastructure, water supply, sanitation, and tourism sector schemes for the region.

With 3G and 4G internet facilities included in the package, construction of new grid stations, launch of Clean Energy, Hydropower and Health Card programs is included in the Rs275 billion for the region.

PM Imran will inaugurate Khunjerab-Rawalpindi Phase One Optical Fiber Cable Project during his visit to Gilgit-Baltistan. He will also inaugurate Fiber to the Home project for 39 cities of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir

Prime Minister Imran Khan is also scheduled to announce province-wide rollout of three major Ehsaas programmes in Gilgit-Baltistan. He will also inaugurate an Incubation Center in Gilgit.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Concordia BTS in memory of Ali Sadpara at the K2 Base Camp. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a software technology park in Hunza.
