Classes from grade 9 to 12 suspended in 25 districts of Punjab

Classes from grade 9 to 12 in the province will remain suspended from Monday till further order.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - After surge in the coronavirus cases, Punjab government has decided to suspend classes again from grade 9 to 12 in 25 district of the province from Monday, April 26 till further order, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

According to a statement issued by the home department, schools will be closed in districts with positivity rate of more than 5%. Schools in the other 11 districts will remain open as per the old schedule.

The Districts where classes have been suspended include, Lahore, Kasur, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Okara, Multan, Pakpattan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Chakwal, Hafizabad, Jhang, Bhakkar, Khanewal, Lodhran, Toba Tek Singh, Mandi Bahaud Din, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar.
