NAB said Maryam Nawaz challenged the law and order.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore Tuesday took notice of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz’s statement terming it as provocative.

The anti-graft body said Maryam Nawaz’s statement was self-made and she challenged the law and order. Investigations against the PML-N leader are ongoing in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, the NAB added.

It is pertinent here to mention that Maryam Nawaz, while responding to the NAB move to challenge her bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, Monday asked the how the anti-graft watchdog can get the authority to scrutinize statements of the witnesses.

The anti-corruption watchdog has failed to perform its duty regarding elimination of corruption from the country, she asserted.

The PML-N vice-president further told that she has always attended the hearings of references against her. Last time, when I came to appear before the bureau, I was attacked and the officials didn’t open the gate, she went on to say.
