PTI, PPP invite applications for NA-49 by-polls

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have started the process of inviting applications from the aspirants of the party tickets for the for by-elections in NA-249 constituency from Karachi.

The seat fell vacant due to the resignation of Faisal Vawda. The PTI leader had resigned from the National Assembly seat due to the Senate.

On the other hand, the PPP has directed those interested to submit their applications for tickets within a week along with all the documents for the by-elections.

The party said that applications could be submitted at Bilawal House Karachi and the party office in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the PTI has also invited applications from candidates. Khurram Sher Zaman said that after the applications, the parliamentary board will announce the final candidate.

He said that the PTI would enter the field with full readiness regarding by-elections.
