Pakistan reports 31 deaths by coronavirus, 1,508 new cases in one day

Pakistan has so far conducted 8,085,427 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 31 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 550,540. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,833 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,508 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 248,919 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 159,311 in Punjab 67,803 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 41,655 in Islamabad, 18,840 in Balochistan, 9,100 in Azad Kashmir and 4,912 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 4,821 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,036 in Sindh, 1,931 in KP, 478 in Islamabad, 269 in Azad Kashmir, 196 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 8,085,427 coronavirus tests and 35,460 in the last 24 hours. 505,818 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,971 patients are in critical condition.
