PDM will continue struggle for real democracy and change: Fazlur Rehman
The JUI-F chief said PDM stands united and on same page
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chairman and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday while ruling out reports of differences in the 11-party alliance said that the government will be sent packing at all cost and the struggle for real democracy and change will continue.
Addressing a rally in Bahawalpur on Sunday, he announced that an “Israel Unacceptable” rally will be held on January 21 to make it clear to the world to first recognize Palestine, this voice will rise from the land of Pakistan.
Fazl said that the PDM will show cards at the right time and the government of PM Imran will be left ‘wondering’.
He alleged that even before coming to power, Imran Khan had proposed a formula to divide Kashmir into three parts, adding that the prime minister had said that Modi should win the election.
The PDM chairman went on to say that due to the failed policies of PM Imran-led government, Kashmiris were left to Modi s oppression. “We will celebrate the day of solidarity with the Kashmiri nation on February 5,” he said and added demonstrations led by PDM will be held in every major city on February 5.
Speaking about country’s economy, the JUI-F chief said that in today s world, the survival of states depends on a stable economy, adding that the illegitimate government destroyed the country s economy. Today, neighboring countries are developing faster than us, he said.
Fazlur Rehman also accused the government of having failed to control inflation, saying the national growth rate had gone negative due to the its incompetence.
He said: "You cannot govern by stealing people s vote, adding that the true representatives of the people are part of PDM."
Earlier, talking to media, the head PDM said that there is no change in stance of the opposition alliance and it stands strong and determined as ever, adding that the 11-party alliance is yet to play its resignations card as leadership of all parties has resignations from their respective lawmakers.
He further said that they know how to remove barriers put in place by the incumbent government to stop the rally.
