Eight die, 30 injured as boiler explodes in Karachi factory
KARACHI (Dunya News) - At least eight people were killed and 30 others were injured after a boiler exploded in a factory, in New Karachi Industrial Area near Saba cinema.
According to details, rescue officials and law enforcement agencies have reached the spot. The district police have cordoned off the area.
According to the rescue officials roof of the factory collapsed after the blast. Injured have been transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Deputy Commissioner Central District has confirmed that 8 people were killed and 30 injured in the boiler explosion.
Talking to Dunya News, he said that a total of 8 bodies and 30 injured people have been recovered from the debris of the factory.
Two of the injured are in critical condition and have been shifted to Burn Ward of the Civil Hospital. Factory debris is still being removed, he added.
