Weather to remain cold and dry in most parts of country

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, Dunya News reported.

According to Met Office, a deep westerly wave is present over the country which is likely to affect from Thursday and persist in upper parts till Saturday (morning). Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while, very cold in northern areas. However, rain (snowfall over the hills is expected in northeastern Balochistan.

Fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan and Upper Sindh during morning and night hours.

Meanwhile, rain occurred in different parts of the country including Lahore, Bhakkar, Okara, Khanewal, Chaklala, Murree, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jacobabad, Dir, Balakot, Pattan, Malam Jabba, Chitral, Mirkhani, Parachinar, Drosh, Saidu Sharif, Muzaffarabad, Garhi Dupatta, Kotli, Rawalakot and Astor during last 24 hours. Leh remained the coldest place in the country with -06°C temperature.
