Imran Khan pays surprise visit to PIMS Hospital Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan paid a surprise visit to PIMS Hospital Islamabad on Friday. He was accompanied by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz and Special Assistant on Health Dr Faisal Sultan.
Dr Faisal Sultan briefed about the facilities provided to patients in the new emergency block of the hospital. He informed the Prime Minister that in view of the coronavirus pandemic, special procedures have been formulated for patients coming into the emergency.
The Special Assistant said that after providing first aid to the emergency patient, he is shifted to the relevant part of the hospital according to his condition. This method not only helps keep the emergency patient and the patients already in the hospital safe from the virus, but also facilitates the smooth transfer of patients to the relevant department.
The Prime Minister appreciated the new emergency block and the facilities provided in it and also inspected the old emergency block.
He also talked to the doctors present in the emergency ward and inquired from them about the facilities provided in the hospital.
