Peshawar BRT service suspended after fire incidents

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government temporarily suspended Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government temporarily suspended Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service after incidents of fire in buses, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

The decision to temporarily suspend the service was taken after fourth bus caught fire on Wednesday at the Hayatabad route. However, all passengers were safely evacuated.

According to sources, a team of the bus manufacturing company will carry out inspection of all the buses and the service would be restored after each bus is technically cleared.

Sources said that the decision to suspend the service has been taken by the KP government keeping in view the safety of the passengers.
