The PML-N president said that he would not leave the nation alone in difficult times

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Friday lamented the damage caused by rains in different parts of the country including Sindh and Karachi and expressed condolences and sympathy with the affected families.

According to a statement issued on Friday, he said that he was deeply saddened over the loss of life and property due to rains and floods, adding that this difficult situation has to be dealt with patience, courage and excellent management skills.

The PML-N president said that he would not leave the nation alone in difficult times. He directed the party leaders and elected representatives to work with the district administration to help the affected people.

He appealed to the federal government to ensure full support of the provinces in the rescue and relief efforts of the people, adding that steps should be taken in full coordination and collaboration between the federal and provincial institutions.

Shehbaz went on to say that wealthy people should generously cooperate in relief and rescue in their respective areas. “We have to work with the spirit of national unity, self-sacrifice and sacrifice in this hour of trouble,” he added.
