Fire breaks out in private oil company warehouse in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The warehouse of a private oil company near Kaliam Mor area of Rawalpindi caught fire today (Tuesday). As soon as the incident was reported, rescue teams and fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot and started extinguishing the fire.

According to details, the blaze caused clouds of smoke reaching up to the sky. The fire also engulfed nearby houses but no injuries have yet been reported.

Fire brigade personnel are currently engaged in rescue operations but five more fire engines and a special vehicle have also been dispatched to the spot of the accident. Moreover, rescue teams have also been called from Jhelum.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has directed administration to reach the spot of the accident to monitor the relief operations and use all resources to douse the fire at the warehouse.

He has also directed Rescue 1122 and other concerned agencies to intensify relief activities in order to control the fire as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister has also ordered a probe and sought a report from on the incident.
