Govt announces discounted plane tickets for students returning from China

The government of Pakistan will operate a special PIA flight from China on May 18

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government has decided to give relief to students stranded in China and announced discounted plane tickets for their return to Pakistan.

According to sources, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has prepared a plan in this regard in collaboration with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Plane tickets for students stranded in the Chinese city of Wuhan will cost only Rs 50,000.

The government of Pakistan will operate a special PIA flight on May 18 to bring back 300 students stranded in China. In this regard, parents of the stranded students met Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari who took them into confidence. Parents have welcomed the government s move and praised its decision.

Zulfi Bukhari said that the students of Wuhan and their parents have endured the most difficult time during the past six months. He said that we have remained in contact with the parents during this ordeal and providing low cost plane tickets will help them out greatly.
