Flight operations at four main airports will be partially resumed before Eid-ul-Fitr

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government is considering partially resuming domestic flight operation before Eid-ul-Fitr amid return of Pakistanis stranded in Riyadh, while the PIA has announced more relief flights to Europe.

According to sources, flight operations at Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar airports will be partially resumed before Eid. According to the SOPs, only fifty percent of passengers will be allowed to board on domestic flights.

Social distancing and wearing face masks will be ensured and all inbound and outbound passengers will undergo a full medical examination. It is important to mention that the Civil Aviation Authority had banned domestic flights till May 29.

Meanwhile, PIA will fly 250 people from Saudi Arabia to Lahore today by a special flight, and it has also announced more flights to Europe.

According to PIA spokesperson, the flight from Islamabad to Barcelona will depart on May 17, Lahore to Frankfurt on May 19 and the flight from Islamabad to Milan on May 22.
