Prime Minister Imran Khan contacted Chairman Dunya Media Group Mian Amer Mehmood over telephone
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Thursday, contacted Chairman Dunya Media Group Mian Amer Mehmood over telephone.
According to details, in the telephonic conversation, the situation arising out of the coronavirus was discussed while issues facing the media industry such as payment of dues by the government were also discussed.
During the telephonic conversation, the Prime Minister indicated to the payment of media house dues, saying that payment of legitimate dues of the media houses was being ensured.
Imran Khan said that government is aware of the problems being faced the media and it will cooperate fully. The PM urged media houses to broadcast public service messages to raise public awareness about the coronavirus, as the nation and media need to work together to defeat the virus.
The Prime Minister further said that the government is taking comprehensive measures to prevent the spread of virus and the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) should also play its role in its prevention.
