Additional IG submits report on PIC attack to CM Buzdar
CM Buzdar chaired the meeting in connection with Pakistan Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack case.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting in connection with Pakistan Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack case. Additional IG Azhar Hameed Khokar submitted enquiry report to CM Buzdar during the meeting, Dunya News reported on Monday.
According to report, police did not indulge in using force during clash between lawyers and doctors at the PIC while the deployment of police was not appropriate either.
The report further said that if the lawyers were stopped before they arrived at the PIC, the situation would not have reached to the point in which some patients at the hospital died.
It was also stated in the report that despite aerial firing by the lawyers during their clash with doctors, the police did not did not open fire to avoid any unpleasant incident.
The report further said that timely decisions need to be made at the time of the clash, which have not been made while the police force stationed near the hospital was not properly guided.
