Bilawal Bhutto said that they will give freedom to media after coming to power.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Wednesday expressed that people and politics are not free in Pakistan today, and the masses have to decide whether they want a democratic or puppet government.

Addressing a workers’ convention, he said that the puppet rulers are governing the country. He went on to say that cases are being registered against everyone including student unions who try to protest. “A person cannot even tweet in today’s Pakistan as he gets disappeared after doing so,” he said, and raised questions on the freedom in today‘s Pakistan.

PPP Chairman said that democracy, which does not allow speaking freely, and also not protecting human and economic rights, is not democracy but dictatorship. “We have never accepted a fake, puppet and dictatorial regime before, nor will we now,” he added.

The scion of Bhutto dynasty asserted that the country’s media was independent at one time but now the interview of terrorists and extremists can be broadcasted but not the former president’s. He added that they will give freedom to media after coming to power.
