Enraged lawyers disrespected their profession: Firdous
She condemned the manhandling of Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Fidous Ashiq Awan on Wednesday while condemning Lawyers attack on Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) said that perpetrators would be brought to justice.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, she said that the lawyers will have to obey the law, adding that manhandling and besieging doctors, patients and their attendants is condemnable.
The special assistant also condemned the manhandling of Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan by the enraged lawyers.
Dr Firdous said that everyone knows elections were behind lawyers attack, adding that the perpetrators would be brought to justice at all cost. “Even the opponent in a war protect hospitals for the protection of human rights,” she said and added who allowed them to turn a cardiac hospital into wrestling ground.
