Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman can stage sit-in wherever he wants in Pakistan: Ijaz Shah.

NANKANA SAHIB (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ijaz Shah has on Tuesday said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman is a ‘king’ and he can stage sit-in where he wants in Pakistan.

The interior minister talked to media in Nankana Sahib and maintained that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led federal government is cooperating with the protesters and will continue to do so if they want to stage a sit-in anywhere else in the country.

Ijaz Shah said decision regarding removal of Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) will be made by 03:00 PM today.

Talking about the ‘Nagar Kirtan’ to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Sikhism founder Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Ijaz Shah said security has been beefed up for the occasion.

He stressed that the Sikh pilgrims will feel a difference between the old and new Nankana Sahib. It was a vision to make Nankana Sahib a district where people from Amritsar could come in the morning and go back in the evening after performing religious rituals, Shah added.
