ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Tuesday that the government has allowed the protest march in conformity with the democratic traditions.

In a tweet shared on her Twitter handle, she, however, expressed serious concerns over the possession of latest firearms with the marchers.

She questioned why those who were claiming to be waging a democratic struggle were carrying Kalashnikovs.

“Maulana Fazlur Rehman will be responsible for any untoward incident in that kind of situation.” She also condemned the attack on levies force in Barkhan area by a banned outfit.
