Doctors' strike enters 34th day in KP

Patients facing difficulties as doctors continue to boycott their services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - A strike of the Grand Health Alliance (GDA) in government hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa entered its 34th day where number of patients are facing crisis owing to suspenion of the services.

Patients facing difficulties as doctors continue to boycott their various services including emergency ones in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. At Lady Reading Hospital’s Out-Patient Departments (OPD), five to six thousand patients come for treatment on a daily basis, but return disappointed owing to the doctors’ strike.

The negotiations to resolve the issues between the GDA and the provincial government have not begun even after a month.
