PML-N divided into two groups as senior leaders miss party meeting

A consultative meeting of PML-N was held today to discuss the political situation.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A consultative meeting of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was held today to discuss the political situation in the country. Several senior party leaders including Raja Zafar ul Haq, Pervaiz Rashid, Javed Latif and Muhammad Zubair did not attend the meeting.

As per details, the party leaders who missed today’s meeting had attended October 9 meeting. Senior leader Pervaiz Rashid confirmed that he was not invited to attend the meeting.

After the meeting Ahsan Iqbal told media that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif had written a letter to party president Shehbaz Sharif to devise a plan regarding Azadi March. He said the points of the letter were conveyed to the members.

He said the party leader Nawaz gave roadmap and a delegation of PML-N would visit Maulana Fazl on Sunday to discuss future strategy regarding the protest against government.

Ahsan requested media to avoid disinformation regarding party’s stance as only senior party leaders are allowed to give statements.

He said Nawaz has instructed us to topple PTI government and to share his roadmap with JUI-F chief.

He further said PML-N had to play a role as the current situation of the country is very dangerous. He said we laid the founding stone of developed Pakistan but the emerging economy is now in doldrums and heading towards collapse.

He said Pakistan is the only Islamic country with nuclear arsenal but this government is unable to conduct a summit on Kashmir. He said PM is only making visits on the money of poor.
