MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday said that Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) is under strict communication blackout and the world should take notice of this.

Addressing a mammoth rally in Muzaffarabad on Friday, he said that public life in Azad Kashmir is free, while around 4000 Kashmiris have been detained in the Occupied Kashmir by the Occupation Indian forces.

The foreign minister said that there was no bar on internet, TV broadcasts, mobile service, and publication of newspapers in Azad Kashmir, while situation is totally opposite in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Qureshi went on to say that one million Indian troops have been deployed in the Occupied Kashmir to strangulate Kashmiris  voice and personal freedoms.

He challenged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold a public gathering in Srinagar.

Earlier, speaking in the National Assembly (NA), FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India has faced humiliation in United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) after 58 countries supported Pakistan’s stance on occupied Kashmir issue.

The minister said that Pakistan has registered major diplomatic successes on Kashmir and India is now resorting to propaganda campaign to hide its failures including the one it faced at the United Nations Security Council.

He said: "Pakistan has effectively and forcefully highlighted the Kashmir dispute at the international level under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan."

The government and its people are on same page on Kashmir matter, Qureshi said and added India is in defensive position like never before.
