Five Pakistani soldiers martyred in blast near LoC
Investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the blast.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – At least five soldiers were martyred and other wounded in an explosion in Chumb Sector near the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the explosion took place in Chumb Sector near the Line of Control (LoC), resultantly five soldiers were martyred on the spot and another injured.
The martyrs include; Subedar Muhammad Sadiq, Sepoy Muhammamd Tayyab, Naik Sher Zaman, Sep Zohaib and Sep Ghulam Qasim.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the blast, the statement said.
The statement further stated that the cross border trade continued amid escalating India-Pakistan tensions.
The ISPR further added: "The incident is evident of state sponsored terrorism by India violating bilateral ceasefire agreement and the international rules."
