Nawaz Sharif may suffer heart attack anytime, counsel tells IHC.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif’s counsel Khawaja Haris Thursday told the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that his client may suffer heart attack anytime, and 24-hour monitoring of his heart is required.

Khawaja Haris presented his arguments as the IHC resumed the hearing of Nawaz Sharif’s bail plea on medical grounds.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif’s counsel Khawaja Haris took the stance that his client’s blood pressure and sugar level are not under control and treatment is only possible abroad.

It has been requested in the petition to grant bail to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo on medical grounds. 


Nawaz’s unstable health


Nawaz Sharif’s health condition became unstable in the Kot Lakhpat jail on Thursday night, and his scheduled meetings with party leaders have been cancelled today.

It has been learnt that the doctors have advised the erstwhile prime minister to take rest and refrain from unneeded conversation. Only family members have been allowed to meet Nawaz Sharif.
