Fake accounts case: Three arrested after Asif Zardari's statement

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – NAB Rawalpindi has arrested managers of three sugar mills after recording statement of former president Asif Ali Zardari in fake accounts case.

NAB sources said finance manager of sugar mills tandu, Muhammad Kazim Ali has been arrested. The suspect was involved in embezzlement of Rs 846 million with the help of Omni group.

Others arrested include Faisal and Amanullah. Finance manager chamber sugar mills Faisal Nadeem received 40 million through fake documentation from Sindh government and also borrowed billions through fake papers.

The sources said Sindh government beard a loss of 27 million. Third accused Amanullah is finance manager of Khoshki sugar mills, who through a fake firm got a subsidy of 20 million from Sindh government and defaulted 18 million of farmers. A loss of 20 million was made through fake accounts in the name of 9 employees.

The warrants of three suspects were issued by chairman NAB and they would be produced in accountability court on Tuesday.
