NA session marred by Treasury's protest during Shehbaz's address

Shireen Mazari recorded her protest when the speaker Asad Qaisar gave dais to Shehbaz Sharif.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Assembly session on Friday witnessed a rumpus when treasury benches staged protest during opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif’s address to the house.

Deputy speaker resumed the session after short break and asked Shehbaz Sharif to address the participants. The opposition leader requested to also give chance to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) members so that they can also express their views. 

Meanwhile, angry Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) members walked out of the House after which, the session was adjourned till Monday.

Earlier today, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Shireen Mazari recorded her protest when the speaker Asad Qaisar gave dais to Shehbaz Sharif. 

The government leaders also chanted slogans regarding water issue in the Karachi as Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf took the NA floor.

The MNA said, “How can this government provide containers to the opposition parties to protest when it’s not allowing us to talk in the assembly.”
