Terror bid foiled in Quetta, suicide bomber arrested
A guard was also injured by the firing of the terrorist.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – The security forces have foiled a terror attempt and arrested a terrorist in injured condition outside an Imam Bargah in provincial capital.
According to the details, a terrorist activity planed on Mecangi road Quetta has been foiled by security forces. The terrorist failed to implement his malicious plan after he was injured by the retaliatory firing of security forces.
The forces have cordoned off the area. Police said the suicide attacker was trying to enter the Imam Bargah. A guard was also injured by the firing of the terrorist.
DIG police Abdul Razzaq Cheema said the attacker, who was in a ladies dress, tried to enter the Imam Bargah at Maghrib prayer but was stopped at the door.
He said the terrorist threw a hand grenade on police after which police opened fire at him. He said the police officials must be praised for their bravery.
DIG said the injured guard has been shifted to civil hospital. He said according to information available with police, two bombers have entered the city, adding that strict security measures have been adopted for Friday prayers.
