86 percent people want army to stay in North Waziristan: VOA survey
Voice of America conducted a survey on Wednesday on the request of PTM leader Mohsin Dawar.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Voice of America (VOA) conducted a survey in which 86 percent people voted in favour of Pakistan Army stay in North Waziristan, a tribal District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details, Voice of America conducted a survey on Wednesday on the request of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader Mohsin Dawar who demanded Pakistan Army to leave North Waziristan after 13 people were killed in a purported clash between the PTM activists and the military troops.
“Should Pakistan army leave the North Waziristan?” was the question asked by VOA from 5,199 people during 21-hour long survey. According to survey result, 86 percent voted “No” while only 14 percent voted “Yes”.
