LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday “incompetent prime minister and Pakistan cannot work together under the current circumstances.”

He spoke to the media, and lashed out at the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over weak economic policies. “The rate of US dollar would be no different as the IMF has been superimposed on the state bank,” Sanaullah said.

He stated that the premier had made a lot of noise over [Indian premier] Modi’s visit to Pakistan during PML-N’s tenure of the government, while he himself complained of Modi not picking up his telephone call.

“They accused Mian Sahab of asking for an NRO when talked about charter of economy,” he said, adding that neither they are willing to hold talks with someone [political parties] nor will anyone sit with them.

Regarding inflation in the country, the minister said that it has become extremely difficult for a person earning around Rs25,000-30,000 a month to run his house [within this amount].

“Could someone ask these incompetents how the dollar has suddenly increased from Rs135 to Rs155,” he went on to say.

Sanaullah regretted that Nawaz Sharif, who had put his efforts to make the country invincible, has been imprisoned.

“Our leadership had talked about the charter of democracy, and [PPP Chairman] Bilawal had also expressed his support, whereas these people are not ready to reconcile,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, PML-N Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan said that the country has been handed over to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The financial burden is put [on the shoulders of the public] in the first month,” he said, adding that at the time of providing relief, the government asks for two years.

Khan said his party at that time had also approached the IMF [for a bailout package], but the global money lender did not ask the former PML-N government to reinstate their ‘representative’ as the governor of the state bank.

“By doing so, the IMF has distrusted Imran Khan,” he said.
