PM Khan is the 9th most popular world leader in terms of followers on Twitter

(Web Desk) - Prime Minister Imran Khan who took oath on 18th August 2018 after a political struggle of 22 years, has now emerged as the 9th most popular world leader in terms of followers on Twitter.

The spectator Index displays statistics related to politics, economics, history, military affairs, sports, science and technology.

According to the twitter post of Spectator Index, the cricketer-turned-philanthropist-turned-politician, ranks 9th amongst a host of world leaders, with the lead taken by US President Donald Trump who has a total of 59.5 million followers.

PM Khan, with 9.4 million followers lies between Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with 9.6 million followers and King Salman bin abdul Aziz, who has a total of 7.3 million followers.

The premiere was popular even before coming into power, the last year spectator Index placed him at 7th spot with 8.17 million Twitter followers which after taking the premiership has shot up to 9.4 million followers.

The list of the top ten most influential world leader has US President Donald Trump taking the first position with 59.5 million followers, PM Narendra Modi takes the second spot with 46.7 million followers, third is Pope Francis with 17.9 million followers, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with 13.6 million ranks fourth on the list of popular leaders.

PM Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) rose to power after winning the 2018 elections, the cricket legend is known for his charitable works namely the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital established after winning the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
